Geography and History
Camps Bay is a trendy suburb, 7 minutes from the centre of one of the world’s most beautiful city, Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Set against the impressive backdrop of the Twelve Apostles mountain range, Camps Bay beach is one of Cape Town’s largest and most beautiful beaches.
Bars line the palm-tree promenade opposite the beach. Behind them are the luxury houses of Cape Town’s wealthiest residents. Local life is casual and in the evening residents and holiday makers can be found enjoying sundowners at the many chic sidewalk cafes on the beach front.
Camps Bay Beach, awarded blue flag status in 2008 is the largest white sand beach in the area. Glen Beach, at the far right of Camps Bay beach, hidden behind large boulders is Camps Bay's best surfing beach.

For the tourist, Cape Town offers a variety of activities and attractions, such as the Two Oceans Aquarium, Ratanga Junction Theme Park, Canal Walk Shopping Centre, craft markets, the BMW Pavilion, IMAX Theatre and numerous shopping centres.
