Geography and History
Century City, a large suburb of Cape Town, in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
It is spread over 250ha and has a golf course, various residential properties and Canal Walk shopping centre. Canal Walk is one of Africa’s largest shopping centres. It includes all major stores and labels as well as a food court, top restaurants, and a skating rink and cinema. It also has four major hotels, conference facilities and a Virgin Active gym.
Century City is also an ideal eco-tourist destination. It is home to Intaka Island, 16ha of wetland conservation. The ecologically sensitive pans and reconstructed wetlands help clean the water of canals that meander though parts of Century City.

Packed with more than 30 thrilling rides and attractions, Ratanga Junction offers something for everyone looking for fun and adventure. If that fails to tickle your fancy, the nearby Ratanga Golf Centre, a public golf practice facility, is open daily. Golfers and non-golfers can relax in the golf centre’s pub, Legends.
